Help

Hi,

This past summer I had to study for the ACT as a freshman going into a sophomore. I made a lot of progress but looking back on it I could’ve made so much more. Unfortunately even with the progress I ended up making I’m still not even close to where I want to be. Thankfully my dad gave me a second chance and postpone the test for another three months and also gave me a week off. Which leads me into my issue. I have a hard time trying to find balance and usually I’m only able to commit to one thing. For the past 4 months I’ve put off my music production (which has been my passion for years) for the ACT. This past week when I got time to do music production again, was the most happy I’ve felt in the past year. However now it’s time for me to get back into studying and I’m having a hard time getting motivated. On top of that school is starting up again which is going to give me even less time to work. So with all that being said my question to you is…

How can you stay motivated and dedicated to something which you aren’t passionate about?

Sincerely, V

P.S: I’ve tried to balance music production ACT but for me what ends up happening is I don’t make progress in either area.
