“A plane that had no power, while in the air, Will fall. Sure you could have people, or things behind it to push as hard they can, and get that thing in the air, but if it doesn’t have any power from its own engines, it will fall. Some planes however, have the winds to their back when they take off! They don’t need any of their own power because they just ride the breeze and have nothing pushing them back, no gusts of wind, no birds flying into their engine to grind things to a halt. They just keep saying on soaring. Some planes have to take off into a neutral wind, where if you don’t do anything, yea you will fall, but it takes the bare minimum, an average or sub average amount of work to stay in the air. Then there’s the planes that don’t have good conditions to take off in. Maybe it’s snowing out, maybe the runway is uneven, maybe they don’t have anyone or anything back there to push them into the air. Maybe they take off into a hurricane that’s so strong, you only hover with your engines at max power, because the wind is that strong to keep you put. Maybe. Mid way through your fight a bird flies into the engine and things get choppy. Maybe someone else came along and took control of your plane. Plane three has all the odds stacked against it, but if the plane can work hard enough, it can and will fly on. And once all the poor conditions are no more, the pilot of plane three has the easiest flight of his life.”
