Hello, here is a list of some things I think will help you find motivation. ❤️
- Think about a younger version of you. What did they want to become, what were there hopes for you? Perhaps include some nostalgic music
- Pretend to be a highly-intelligent character fitting to the task (Sheldon Cooper, Hermione Granger, Spock, Batman, etc). Don't get too carried away lol
- Visualize yourself starting
- Visualize yourself reaching your goal
- Watch study-with-me (this helps keep you accountable). I'd suggest watching Ruby Granger, Thomas Frank, or Unjaded Jade on YT for these videos, though there are many other good study-with-me makers
- Watch brief video of someone who has met your goal (ex. if you want to be an entrepreneur, watch Elon Musk, if you want to get into an ivy league school, watch admission videos, etc)
- Watch motivational videos
- Read motivational quotes (ex. "a winner is a dreamer who never gives up" -Nelson Mandela, "genius is 1% talent, and 99% hard work" -Albert Einstein, and "work hard now, so you don't have to later")
- Listen to music with no lyrics
- Make a schedule
- Give yourself little rewards
- Make a vision board that illustrates your ideal you
- Research productivity, and personalize it
- Eat healthy
- Get enough sleep
- Exercise
- Find confidence
- Read productivity books like: 80/20 your life, the 7 habits of highly effective people, the score takes care of itself
- Study with someone else (this is the same premise as watching a study-with-me, but make sure you pick someone who will won't distract you very much)
Some things that can help:
- Get a comfy, minimal space to work. Pick somewhere you would only use to be productive. Also, try to include little motivations (inspirational quotes on the wall, your vision board in front of you, etc)
- Study your habits and mood, for example: when are you most productive? If you don't know where to start, research your circadian rhythm, and theta state
- Find your boundaries. For example, when I want to be productive, I avoid television completely. This is a bit radical, but I know that if I start watching minutes will turn into hours.
Hope this was helpful! Have a productive day :)
