Kobe failed. Here's what I learned from that.

Kobe Bryant failed. He didn't set out to be as good as Jordan. His goal was to be better than Jordan. Did he achieve that goal?

Not without 6 rings. Or 12 rings. Not by stats.

He knew this. But he didn't define his career by it. Kobe left the game knowing he exhausted every avenue of effort. Knowing he literally left everything he had on the floor of the basketball court.

Goals aren't always there to be achieved. Their foundational purpose is to push us to be better. Could Kobe have risen to the same heights without such a lofty goal? I doubt it.

Set high goals. You never know what could happen. Do you think when Kobe started playing basketball, he had any clue MJ would end up as one of his best friends?

Anything can happen.
