Have you ever wondered why you watch so many motivational videos or self-help videos, and your life stays the same ??

People say I don’t want any small businesses, One day I’ll create the next Facebook. Or they are just planning to start an eCommerce store, and they sure about that one day they will beat amazon.

You follow those bullshit Instagram motivational profiles, and they say “work like hell, work 100h per week”. You saw the post now you are extremely motivated and want to change the world, make the world a better place, You just open your laptop… and now you feel procrastinating. Then you decide, “my mission is to change the world.” I will start my work from tomorrow. And tomorrow will never come.

You watched 1000 hours of motivational videos, podcasts, read 1000 pages of self-help books. Share garyvee’s tweet in your WhatsApp, Instagram. But none of this changed your life. Still, you are the same as you were.

Most of these quotes mean nothing..

“Be yourself, work hard “

“If you can’t fucking own your shortcomings, you can’t own your strength “

“Don’t just dream about it, take action, and work hard as you can.”

“One Day, you will wake up and realize that those late nights and early mornings have paid off.”

I am sorry, but none of this will change your life.

What is Motivation

Before we start to discuss why those things are not working for you, you need to understand what motivation is.

It’s a pure emotion that you feel like a drive to fulfill a desire to meet an end. A desire could be anything. For example, to become rich. People get very motivated while you want to become rich. The people who wouldn’t go for a morning walk, but on pilgrimages, people scale mountains on foot. They firmly believe that one day they will become the next Elon Musk.

bThe more critical that desire is to you, the more motivated you will feel, but now with the capitalization of this emotion, we have found a very destructive use of this word, and this usage could be one of the essential tools behind the destruction of your planned future. How ??

People are not interested in solutions anymore; we prefer a quick fix, a shortcut that will instantaneously give you relief and make the problem go away for the moment.

And nowadays, the motivational videos are the quick fix.

So how do we see motivational videos now ?? To us, instead of emotion, motivation has become this glamorized power-enhancing, a power-boosting substance which if you consume daily basis will automatically make you achieve your dream if you consume a daily basis.

Motivational videos will tell you to develop a millionaire mindset to achieve the highest level of success. If you are not even a millionaire, how should you develop a millionaire mindset ?? Did you ever think about that ??

So, let’s consider for a moment the times in which you feel the need for motivation? It happens you feel uninterested, uninspired, falling behind with work, Or you feel dissatisfied with yourself because you realize how much time is going by. In these moments you Decide to get motivated by using an external person or video that will get you going. So in order for motivational videos to become a successful strategy, it is required that after it finishes, You directly go to work, otherwise It becomes a failed strategy so basically, it means Before even clicking on the video you have carefully planned in Your mind two things

  1. The amount of motivation you need
  2. The hours of work you’re going to put in once you get the motivation

For example, I’m going to watch ten minutes of motivational videos and then go to work and start planning my business strategies or start developing a skill that I need in my business. That would be the ideal usage of any motivational content. A pre besides approach.

How you could use these videos

Whenever you find yourself not working and wasting time, you are met with guilt. It is that feeling of dissatisfaction, Which you know we grow into worry in sometimes.

To counter that you subdue that guilt to prevent it from becoming a major Worry, you have found the solution, a way to trick and fool your brain: Motivational Content. When you watch a series of motivational videos and Content, your brain receives the information that you are focussed on. You are in the zone, you are very serious, And that makes you feel satisfied. The moment you feel happy and satisfied with yourself, Your brain subconsciously registers this strategy as a solution for whenever you are anxious and work of not achieving your goals.

This is why you never go to work afterward, you continue Watching similar videos one after the other, and it becomes a habit which replaces actual effort. These videos become an escape from actually doing your work, because you get to fool your brain.

So your problem, in reality, isn’t the fact that you’re not progressing in life, your problem is that you hate feeling guilty about it. And Motivational videos solve that guilty problem instantaneously. Motivation content is not a tool that makes you work excessively, But a dosage that relieves you of any concern, bothers, or stress, which is work-related a quick fix.

If you are a highly motivated person, why do you need motivational videos to boost your energy ??

In this world, people want to be emotionally satisfied and happy.

So, what is the most general thing that people love doing to feel happy? Nothing. You just want to sleep in your bed, and believe that one day you will change the world.

People smoke weeds because they believe that if they smoke weed, they will concentrate on their work. But unfortunately, nobody goes 4 hours of hard work after smoking weed. You either watch bullshit motivational content or go out with your friends or go to sleep.

People want to stay emotionally happy now, but they don’t want to see their actual reality.

So, what’s the solution ?? The solution is hard work. You need to sacrifice your social life, put restrictions on social media, and love life to achieve something big.

So you are stuck between the fact that you don’t want to work, and that you have to work for the sake of your dream. So what’s the solution that satisfies both those demands: Motivational videos. When you watch them, the urge to work goes away; and with that, you go back to living in a world of now peacefully.

Now let’s go even deeper; how can just watching motivational videos make the urge to work go away?

Whenever you just start watching motivational videos, three emotions take over you.

  1. You suddenly feel driven
  2. You are met with a clarity, and your bullshit excuses get exposed.
  3. You feel energized.

These three things are powerful emotions.

Now, you watch motivational videos not to generate action; you watch them feel motivated to work.

Your objective is to feel, not do. You like to get motivated in theory, not practical.

When you start watching those videos, you get filled with motivation, and that’s enough for you.

So, what’s the real solution ?

  1. When you start watching those videos, you have to understand you need to start your work right now. Those videos and a little pump would boost your efficiency. Nothing more. If you want to change the world, you need to work yourself. Don’t just feel. You don’t need these feelings just to go to work right now.

  2. Be extremely result-oriented. Suppose you want to start your business or start your programming course. Just start it. Create a schedule, write down a time, give yourself time, and how days you have to achieve the level 1 success. Suppose your goal is to want to become an entrepreneur. Just start networking with other people, or create a proper business plan, think about your finance, marketing strategies, how you should manage the product or service, etc. If you don’t have enough money to build a website, think about managing the money or how much money you need to start the company. I am not talking about doing this hypothetically or just in your mind. Do this actually with your pen and paper.

  3. Watch motivational videos with a pre-decided approach—10 mins of motivation and 3h of work. Motivational Content should motivate you into action, not satisfaction.

  4. You have to understand that you don’t have enough time in the future; you have to do it now. If you lose today, you will suffer forever.

You have to fool your brain very carefully. Do not take the stress. Just believe you can do this, but you don’t have enough time in your future.

DON’T LET YOUR MIND BECOME YOUR ENEMY.
