I’m a 17 year old, I was weighing at 270. I knew I needed to change for better health and for my own thoughts. It was February 14th “Valentines day” 2020. I started from absolutely knowing nothing about dieting other than the failed attempts from before. I looked into keto/low carb. By no means I’m an expert and I still don’t really know what I’m doing with this diet. I noticed a once I started the diet it was hard to stick with it for a bit, which is the same with all diets. But after the initial self pity I started losing weight. At first I lost 10 pounds and felt great then got to 255 and we went into quarantine.
My first thought was that I would fail this now but I was wrong. While at home I was doing even better than expected every day I week I was losing weight some more than others. And I was feeling great!
A couple weeks ago my friends planned to have a backyard prom and we would dress up. I did not buy a prom outfit because of quarantine. So I went to try on my semi formal/homecoming outfit. And this thing was way to big “ like I was swimming in it”
I went out to go buy new clothes because my waist size dropped from a 44/43 to 36. And my shirts went from a 3/2XL to a XL. When I meet with my friends for the first time in a while last week, when they got out of the car they complement me and said I look great! “They did not know I was on a diet the whole time”
I am still not finished my diet I would like to get to 200 pounds or even a bit less and then start at the gym and working out so I can get even more in shape.
So in conclusion if you feel like you want to change your life style you have the power to do this and make yourself feel better about yourself.
