My whole life i’ve avoided everything. I should start by saying, Ive been neglected since my childhood, and im pretty sure i have asd. Ive always acted innapropriately for my age, ive always been rly socially disabled, and annoying and unaware of myself. But the past year ive rly been self reflecting, and i’ve been trying to completely change. I reallized how i’ve been wasting my whole life sitting around, and how delusional i was. And i feel like ive grown up so much in the past year. The financial negligence was definitely a big part of my emotional immaturity. My environment is very r/nparent, if you know what i mean. So my whole life i’ve basically just used tv to cope/distract myself from reality. Its all that my life has rly been. And i mostly didn’t have a choice otherwise. But after hitting rock bottom, i’ve done immense self reflecting and thats how i got to here. At my first few steps to being a normal person. So to sum it up, things lined up perfectly when i applied to mcdonalds. After getting the job i anxiously assumed the worst. But the people there are great, and i love this job. I’ve heard that if u have anxiety, fast paced jobs like this are a bad idea, but its been quite the opposite. I love the rumination and i love the work itself. Many people hate their jobs and im so lucky to have found and gotten this one. I have generalized anxiety disorder, but this job has more than benefit it, despite that i’ve heard jobs like this are horrible for it. But any other job sounds so depressing to me, which makes me even more grateful. I think having generalized anxiety makes me appreciate this job more than most people would, that or my environment. But i like seeing things in a rose colored lense. Im just glad this worked out and i hope to come out of my shell soon and stop giving off negative energy to people i want to be friends with.
Lastly, i just wanna say if you start to realize you may be a victim of negligence suffering from narcissistic abuse syndrome, just know ur not alone. U can overcome this. Even if u kind of have to “be a parent to yourself.”
