My godfather visited us for a month and today was his last day with us.
It was like our usual lazy mornings wherein we would have our cups of coffee and a little chat before I headed off to work.
While I was preparing to leave, he said something that went like: "Last day of working? TGIF ey?"
I gave him a nod along with a faint smile while saying: "Yeah. I've been waiting for this all week."
He paused then said: "A friend told me that TGIT is way better."
Looking a little bit puzzled I said: "TGIT? What's that? I've never heard of that."
With a grin he said: "Thank God It's Today."
Seeing that I got taken aback, he added: "Now, you'll be looking forward to make every day count."
I smiled and bid him farewell.
On my way to work, I couldn't shrug off this feeling. It got to a point wherein it felt a little uneasy.. And then it hit me. I knew what this was. I was.. excited. Excited for today. Excited for tomorrow. Excited for the following days to come.
Right now, I'm just excited to make EVERY. DAY. COUNT.
